Conununity Development,continued
•The City Council recently approved site
plan requests for four office/industrial
buildings located south of Lake Drive
East, north of Eden Prairie, and west of
Dell Road. The two most easterly
buildings(Buildings A&B)are currently
under construction. The two remaining
buildings(Buildings C&D)are proposed
to begin construction on October 25,
1999. There is a minor change being
proposed by the applicant to connect
these two buildings by creating a"U"
shaped structure versus two parallel
buildings.This design creates a truck
dock court that is completely isolated
from exterior views. This addition is less
than 10%of the total area of the buildings
and the zoning ordinance allows such
requests to be processed administratively.
The only action required by the City
Council deals with vacating a utility and
drainage easement which will appear
before the City Council on October 25th.
Administration
•Mr.Gerhardt,Mr.DeJong and I are
completing financial advisory firm
interviews on Friday,October 1. It is our
expectation that we will review the fee
proposals from those firms we wish to
further consider and make a recommenda-
tion to the council possibly as soon as
the October 11 meeting and certainly by
the meeting of October 25.
•Additionally,RFPs have been mailed to
a number of law firms who we believe may
be qualified and/or interested in respond-
ing to our request. This process will
follow a similar schedule as the financial
advisory process. We will be bringing
our recommendation to you in a timely
fashion.
•Finally,Bruce,Todd and I,have finished
meeting with financial software providers.
While we have yet to meet and reach a
conclusion,I expect that we will be
coming to you with a recommendation in
the near future as the year end is fast
approaching.
