TO: Don Ashworth, City Manager

SUBJ: No Parking Resolution on Bluff Creek Drive
File No. 80-5Lzs_1
The plans and specifications for Bluff Creek Drive improvements
were approved March 14, 1988 by the City Council. The design
follows urban state-aid design standards for a two-lane collec-
tor. As such, the 28-foot wide undivided road section does not
contain sufficient width for parking on either side of the
' street. In order to obtain municipal state aid approval and
financial participation, the City must adopt and enforce a no
parking ban along the length of this roadway. This is very simi-
lar to the restrictions required for the Lake Lucy Road section
although there the presence of the bike paths was an additional
factor.
1 In order to comply with municipal state aid requirements, it is
necessary that the City Council adopt the attached resolution
banning parking on both sides of Bluff Creek Drive from Pioneer
Trail (County Road 14 ) to U.S. Highway 212 and that a copy of
this resolution be forwarded to the state-aid office.
