An engine and four person crew assisted Waconia Fire Department on Feb 2l! for a citywide
Senior Center standby from 6pm to midnight.

On February 16 at 0225 am, Chanhassen Fire responded to a fire within a residence on Tecumseh Lane.
The fire was located inside the wall space above a wood burning fire place The fire was caused by fire
and heat extension through the masonry fire box extending to the wood mantle and framing behind the
sheet rock The fire box had eroded due to age and use

Prevention Activities:
Chanhassen Fire participated in the EFS Wellness Health Fair on Thursday, March 12th on Upland Circle
Approximately 80 employees visited our booth. We promoted home fire safety devices, hands on fire
extinguisher training, and a drawing for door prizes. We received many favorable comments from their
employees regarding our participation
