Amy Wenner was appointed to the Environmental
Commission in 2010 and brought passion, commitment and
knowledge to the commission. She spearheaded many projects
and was often the first to volunteer for additional duties. In
2011, she served as vice-chair to the commission. While serving
on the commission, she contributed to the following
accomplishments:
• Revitalizing the annual Arbor Day celebration with
tree planting to honor the spirit of the day
• Sought out additional public education opportunities
to learn more about water-related issues and shared
her knowledge with the commission
• Authored numerous public education pieces on the
commission's key focus topics
