Name Trent Richard Powers
Comments/History Trent Powers was the grandson of Frank W. Powers and great-grandson of
George Mayor Powers, a Chanhassen pioneer. Per the Minneapolis Star Tribune,
Trent was declared dead by the United States Government on 11/27/1973 and
listed as MIA (missing in action). He was interred on 4/15/1988 and was buried in
his grandfather's grave. His plane was shot down over North Viet Nam in 1965,
and he was killed in Action, HoBac Province, North View Nam, when he
parachuted behind enemy lines. (See copies of articles in file.)
This grave was owned by Frank W. Powers. Since Frank Powers was deceased
and buried in California, the family requested use of this grave to bury Captain
Powers. Their request was granted.
