She was born August 28, 1912 in Minneapolis. MN to Willis Wilbur & Hattie Elva (Newton) Wilson. She lived her entire life in the Lake Minnetonka area aside for a couple years as a young child with her family in Byron, Illinois. Her first job after high school was at the Excelsior office of Northern States Power. After a full decade of courtship, she was united in marriage with Don Elmblad on August 1, 1936 at Trinity Episcopal Chapel in Excelsior. She fumed in her typewriter in 1938 to begin raising a family of four, returning to the workforce in 1957 when her children were sufficiently of age. She worked across Highway 7 as a secretary at Minnetonka High School. Her talents shined and she became secretary to the Superintendent of Minnetonka Schools until her retirement in Spring 1972. She returned to secretarial duties in the mid-1970s at Trinity Episcopal Church where she, like her mother before her, was ever-present for nine decades. Tender and kind, she was ever - ready to entertain guests with a gracious serving of whatever treat she may have in store. Her pen was never still, writing hundreds of poems for any and all events from anniversaries to tooth extractions. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Olive, son-in-law Dennis Meyer, and grandson Eric Guntzel.
