A geat place to live, work, and play. May 17, 2006 Karen Engelhardt Office Manager City of Chanhassen 7700 Market Boulevard Chanhassen, MN 55317 Dear Ms. Engelhardt, I hereby proffer my claim to the vacant Bennett Family graves in sections 32 and 33 in Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery. I am a direct descendant of Nathan and Betsey Bennett as outlined in genealogical information previously provided. Their sons Eden and Isaac were their only children to remain in the Chanhassen area. Eden and his family are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Excelsior, MN. Of Isaac's children, only Nettie (Mrs. James F. Harrison) and Miriam (Mrs. James Arthur Wilson) remained in Minnesota. The Harrison family members I contacted prefer interment in the Harrison plot at Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery. Miriam Wilson had two daughters and one son. Her son Willis W. Wilson had the only grandchildren: Olive and Harriet. Olive married a Catholic man and is buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Shorewood, MN. Olive's only child, Anne, and her family have no intention of interment in Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery. Harriet, my grandmother, married Donald Robert Elmblad. They have four Children: Barbara, Bonnie, Beatrice, and Donald. Barbara will be buried at Fort Snelling with her husband, Bea and her husband David Guntzel will be buried at Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery beside their son Eric Christopher Guntzel (they already own lots), and Don will be interred in California. It is the intention of my parents and my family to be buried at Chanhassen Pioneer Cemetery. With no other apparent reasonable or likely claimants, we therefore request transfer of ownership of the aforesaid vacant lots to the McGinnis Family. Sincerely,
