Comments/History Martha and Henry Marlyn Lyman were married 4/13/1856 in Easthampton,
Massachusetts. Martha was baptized and became a member of First
Independent Church Excelsior and Chanhassen on 9/7/1856.
Henry and Martha Clarissa Pomeroy were married on 4/13/1856 in East Hampton,
Massachusetts. Henry and Martha's son, Albert, started the Lyman Lumber
Company, which still exists in Chanhassen today. Their son, Arthur Burt,
introduced "Grimms Alfalfa" to the United States. Their son, Frank, moved to
California and son, Ansel, was killed in a train accident south of the Lyman Farm.
Four children died in infancy between 1863-1874 from scarlet fever, typhoid fever
and Cholera. Those children were George, Grace, Ada and Willie.
