Ordinance 611CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 611 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, AND CHAPTER 7, BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS, CHANHASSEN CITY CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA ORDAINS: Section 1. The Chanhassen City Code is amended by adding the definition of "open fences" Section 1-2 to read as follows: Open fences are decorative fences such as wrought iron fences, cement block column or rock - type posts, split rail and other open style fences. Open fences may not have more than 20 percent (20%) opacity. Picket fences and privacy type fences are not open fences. Section 2. Section 7-18 (a) of the City Code, City of Chanhassen, Minnesota, is hereby amended to read as follows: The Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to M.S. §§ 1613.59 to 1613.75, is hereby adopted as the building code for the City of Chanhassen. The Code is hereby incorporated in this section as if fully set out herein. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication.
