Comments/History This grave was originally purchased by Clarence & Lieva Schmidt in July of 2010.
On February 6, 2014, the Schmidts turned them back over to the city as they have
made other arrangements.
The lots were sold to John and Diane Fraser on February 6, 2014.
John Fraser's Obituary read:
Rev. John Fraser, Sr. 77, of Auburn Courts, went to his eternal home on
September 4, 2015. Interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Chanhassen. A
Celebration of Life Service will be on Sept 17th at 2pm in the Chapel at Auburn
Homes and Services, 501 N. Oak St. Chaska, Mn. In lieu of flowers memorials
may be given to Auburn Homes and Services Courtyard, 501 N Oak St, Chaska,
MN 55318. John was born in Flint, MI on July 25, 1938. He graduated from
Gaylord High School in Gaylord, MI. John attended Lake Superior State College in
Sault Ste Marie, MI. He then attended Michigan Technological University where
he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. John
worked his way through college as a male counselor at the Goodwill Farm
Orphanage in Houghton, MI. It was at college where he met his wife, Diane Duca
Fraser. John worked for Control Data Corp. in Minneapolis for 12 years as a
Computer Design Engineer and Project Manager.
John then attended the North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls, SD
where he received his Master's of Divinity Degree. He became Pastor of
Shakopee Baptist Church and was there during its construction. After eight years
in Shakopee, he pastored Temple Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA, Bridgeport
Baptist Church in Bridgeport, WV and Newcomerstown Baptist Church in
Newcomerstown, OH.
John and Diane retired in 2002 and moved to the town of Hermansville in Upper
Michigan. After 8 years they moved to Chaska, MN to be closer to family.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and George Fraser. He is
survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane, three children, Teresa (Dave) Winslow
and their children, Brittney, Joshua, and Nicole of Chaska, MN; son Don (Karen)
Fraser and their children Sarah, Jack, Paul, Jane and Ann of LeSueur, MN; and
son, Rev. John (Cara) Fraser, Jr. of Senoia, GA, mother -in -Law, Dorothy Duca of
Chaska, MN and Carol Dale, of Minneapolis, as well as two brothers, George
Fraser (Dot Dumond) of California and Theron (Laurel) Fraser of Brooklyn Park,
