Hi again,
I have been looking for Herman August Luebke and do not find much more than we know. In census
records he is listed as a carpenter and a carpenter for the rail road. That makes sense if he was
involved with the building of the Holmes Street Bridge built in 1927. There is a lot of info on the
Minnesota Historical Soc web site regarding the building of the bridge. It gives the name of
Minnesota Steel Machine Co as builder and Engineer co out of Mankato. No names are listed on
who the workers were. If the historical society has names of the workers we may need to contact
them. Herman was in ND in 1910 census, and in Mpls listed on his WWI draft registration Sept
1918 Again listed as a bridge carpenter. So that is all I can find on him.
