IV/Construction Manager cc.F DATE: March 14, 2016 SUBJ: The Preserve at Bluff Creek 5th Addition, Project No. 13-08: Accept Street and Utility Improvements PROPOSED MOTION "The City Council accepts the street and utility improvements in The Preserve at Bluff Creek 5th Addition." City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of the City Council present. Staff has received a letter from David Hempel of Westwood Professional Services, requesting the City consider acceptance of the street and utility improvements in The Preserve at Bluff Creek 5th Addition. Staff has performed a walk-through inspection and finds the completed improvements acceptable for perpetual maintenance and ownership. Attachments: Letter from David Hempel dated December 15, 2015. The public improvements consisted of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer and streets construction were observed by our construction observer to be constructed in accordance with the City of Chanhassen requirements. Based upon our part-time observations and as build construction documents, it is our opinion that all construction is in conformance with the approved project plans and specifications. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. requests that the City of Chanhassen accept these public Street and Utility improvements for City ownership and that the project surety be reduced to the minimum amount per the conditions of the Developers Agreement for this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chanhassen City Council hereby accepts the street and utility improvements in The Preserve at Bluff Creek 5th Addition, Project No. 13-08, for perpetual maintenance and ownership.
