Request to Rename a Portion of Coulter Boulevard between Trunk
Highway 41 and Century Boulevard - Project No. 97-1B-l
Staff has received a request from the property owner, Thomas Christiansen of All
About Lights (Lot I, Block 2, Arboretum Business Park 2nd Addition), to rename
a segment of Coulter Boulevard between Century Boulevard and Trunk Highway
41 to Water Tower Place. Coulter Boulevard was recently constructed this fall
and the only building affected by the street name change would be All About
Lights.
Based on the street configuration in the area, it appears to be a reasonable request
to have Coulter Boulevard renamed. Therefore, it is staff's recommendation that
the City Council approve the request to rename that segment of Coulter Boulevard
between Century Boulevard and Trunk Highway 41 to Water Tower Place. Staff
has mailed to the property owners within 500 feet a public hearing notice regarding
this proposal. Staff has received no comments to date regarding this proposal.
