According to Mr. Polta, the public utility improvements have been completed in conformance with the approved plans and specifications. City staff performed a walk-through inspection of the projects and found the utilities are in satisfactory condition. All testing has been successfully completed as well. It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the public utility improvements in Springfield 2nd and 3rd Additions, Project Nos. 97-20 and 98-7, for perpetual maintenance and ownership conditioned upon the developer and/or contractor supplying the City with a two-year maintenance bond. Job #97513 & #97514 Dear Mr. Hempel: On behalf of our client, we request the City of Chanhassen accept the sanitary sewer and water main construction for the above referenced projects, City Project #97-20 and 98-7 respectively, for the perpetual ownership and maintenance. The utilities in the project have been constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Pioneer Engineering, P.A. The testing of the utility improvements was performed in the presence of representatives for the City of Chanhassen. It is my understanding that the proper lien waivers and maintenance bonds will be provided by Nodland Construction Company, Inc. and/or their subcontractors as required. Please place the acceptance of these utilities on the next City Council agenda. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to call.
