Parks and recreation are vital to our local economy, the environment, and livability of
Chanhassen. Beautiful parks, meaningful recreation opportunities, and our abundant trails are
some of Chanhassen's best-known trademarks.
Community engagement activities will include, but are not limited to, stakeholder listening
sessions, web-based input, and traveling"pop-up"meetings. An Advisory Committee will be
named to steer the planning process, with input from the city's Park and Recreation Commission
and final oversight and approval from the Chanhassen City Council.
Hoisington Koegler Group Inc., an experienced landscape architecture, planning and design firm,
will be guiding citizens, elected and appointed officials, and city staff throughout the planning
process. Look for additional information about the City of Chanhassen Park and Recreation
System Master Plan in the coming months and please take the opportunity to provide your input
along the way.
