CITY HALL EXTERIOR TOUR – PROPOSED 2017 CIP REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS \ � Y � w 9 S CITY OF CHANIIASSEN Chanhassen is a Community for Life-Providing for Today and Planning for Tomorrow NR AS MEMORANDUM TO: Todd Gerhardt, City Manager FROM: Todd Hoffman, Park &Recreation Director DATE: November 14, 2016 SUBJ: City Hall Exterior Tour—Proposed 2017 CIP Repairs and Improvements On Monday November 14th at 4:00 p.m. the Mayor and City Council will gather to conduct a tour of proposed 2017 CIP repairs and improvements on the exterior of City Hall. Mr. Matt Wilkens, a Landscape Architect with the firm Damon Farber and Associates, will lead the tour. Matt managed the 2003 City Center Park project at the front of City Hall, in addition to the Veterans and Fireman's Monument projects. The work being proposed is a combination of repairs and improvements in retaining walls,hard surfaces, landscaping, site amenities, lighting, and signage. In addition to performing repairs and improvements, one of the goals of the project is to improve the identification of city spaces including City Hall, the Senior Center, and the Library and to upgrade the overall appearance and identification of the main City Hall entrance. Upon receiving a consensus from the City Council on how they would like to proceed, staff will proceed accordingly.
