PROPOSED MOTION
"The Chanhassen City Council approves a resolution supporting the appointment of Dan
Campion as Chanhassen's Alternate Representative to the Transportation Advisory Board."
City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of City Council.
Attached please find a resolution supporting the appointment of Dan Campion as Chanhassen's
Alternate Representative to the Transportation Advisory Board. Mr. Campion has shown a
strong interest in continuing his service to the City of Chanhassen in this new capacity on the
Transportation Advisory Board.
By approving this resolution, the City Council is sending a strong message of support for Mr.
Campion's appointment and for him to be an advocate and voice for all metro cities.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of a resolution supporting Dan Campion as Chanhassen's Alternate
Representative to the Transportation Advisory Board.

WHEREAS,the City of Chanhassen strongly supports the application of Dan Campion as
Chanhassen's Alternate Representative to the Transportation Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS,Mr. Campion has been actively serving on the Chanhassen City Council since
January 2015; and
WHEREAS,Mr. Campion has a wealth of knowledge based on the following public
service experiences:
• Chanhassen City Council, 2015 to Present
• Chanhassen Economic Development Authority, 2015 to Present
• Chanhassen Planning Commission, 2014-2015
• Chanhassen Parks and Recreation Commission, 2007-2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Campion has worked for multiple private engineering, design, and
manufacturing firms over the past 16 years. He has gained valuable knowledge in strategic
planning,business development,program management, and global product launches. He also has
an extensive educational background including a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA with an
emphasis on Marketing and Strategic Management, and is a certified Project Management
Professional.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Chanhassen City Council strongly
supports the application of Dan Campion as an Alternate Representative to the Transportation
Advisory Board as he has provided the highest level of service to Chanhassen residents. Further,
his education and professional background make him an excellent candidate to serve as a voice
for the Transportation Advisory Board and an advocate for regional policies that accommodate
the needs of metro area cities.

identifying and capturing revenue opportunities for tester sales of our newly developed flagship Sapphire tester
targeted at the top 10 global semiconductor sales companies.

multi-million dollar ATE (Automated Test Equipment)sales.
