C-2. Invitation to Act on Alzheimer’s Meeting on Thursday, March 2, 2017 Invitation to Act on Alzheimer's Community Meeting
Alzheimer's and dementia are increasingly impacting more and
more people as our population ages. The number of Carver
County residents age 65 and over is expected to quadruple to
25,000 by 2030. Fortunately, we as a community are working
together to make Chanhassen a welcoming and safe place for
those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
I want to encourage members of the community who are
interested in Alzheimer's and dementia, or who have been
personally touched by the diseases, to attend our community
meeting on March 2, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the
Chanhassen Recreation Center.
We will be sharing community assessment findings and
unveiling the steps we will take as a community to make
Chanhassen Alzheimer's and dementia friendly. Whether you
are concerned about the ability of our aging population to
continue to live and socialize in our community, or are the
caregiver of a parent with dementia, the meeting will be
beneficial to you.
