BACKGROUND Each year CenterPoint Energy provides opportunity for cities to apply for Community Partnership Grants for a variety of eligible projects. Thermal Imaging Cameras are on the approved list of items eligible for grant funding. In May 2017, 1 submitted the grant application and was notified within weeks that we were selected for the $2,500 grant award. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council accept the Community Partnership Grant on behalf of the fire department and approve the funds be directed towards the purchase of a replacement thermal imaging camera.
