SUBJ: Acceptance of Donation to Senior Center
PROPOSED MOTION
"The City Council approves Resolution 2017-62 accepting a$500 donation from Charter Bank
Chanhassen for the Senior Center 2017 Holiday Party, and directs staff to prepare a letter of
thanks to Charter Bank Chanhassen."
Approval of this item requires a simple majority vote of the City Council.
This is the 12th year that Charter Bank Chanhassen(formerly Community Bank)has sponsored
this event. This has been a good relationship and Charter Bank has stated several times that they
are pleased to be associated with the Senior Center and to host this event for community seniors.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached resolution accepting the$500
donation from Charter Bank for the Senior Center 2017 Holiday Party. Additionally, staff will
prepare a letter of thanks to Charter Bank for their generous donation.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL hereby accepts the
$500 donation from Charter Bank Chanhassen for the annual Chanhassen Senior Center Holiday
Party in 2017.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that city staff is hereby directed to prepare a letter of
thanks to them for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 25th day of September, 2017.
