A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SITE PLAN WITH
WETLAND AND PARKING SETBACK VARIANCES
WHEREAS, the applicant, Civil Site Group, has requested rezoning of property from
Rural Residential District to High Density Residential District (R-16), lot consolidation and site
plan review with variances for the construction of a 48-unit continuing care retirement facility on
property described in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission held a public hearing on February 4, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission found that the request met all the criteria to approve
said variance and recommended approval of the variance; and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed the minutes of the Planning Commission
meeting dated February 4, 2020; and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed the plans and staff report for the proposed
variance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen, Minnesota, as follows:
"The Chanhassen City Council approves the ordinance rezoning property from Rural
Residential District to High Density Residential District (R-16), lot consolidation and approving
the resolution for site plan review with variances for the construction of a 48-unit continuing care
retirement facility (The Moments of Chanhassen), as shown in plans dated February 18, 2020,
subject to the conditions of approval and adopts the findings of fact and decision."
Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 13th day of April, 2020.
