2020-44CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES,, M1_LTNESOTA DATE: JuIvI3 2020 RESOLUTION NO: 2020-44 MOTION BY: C SECONDED BY: McDonald ion 111-0-11, 11.1 iffi-I I _111 11 W111 I _1114 I WHEREAS, Carver Trails, a local non-profit group, has been working with volunteers to build the trails and are hoping to open them by the end of June; and, 102�� WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen has received broader approvals in land conveyances and agreements with Carver County. One of the operational items for the trail facility is parking management; and, WHEREAS, as part of the planning and coordination for the traii f-acility, parking restrictions and local community resolutions were identified as being required where the affected roadways do no provide adequate conditions for parking on both sides of the street. Given the conditions on Pioneer Trail immediately adjacent to the off -road recreational trail site, certain parking restrictions are required for proper operation, management, enforcement, safety, and nuisance control of the park; and, WHEREAS, Carver County Public Works is requesting a "No Stopping, Standing or Parking" resolution from the City of Chanhassen along the north and south side of Pioneer Trail �aka CountrA State A' ivhwarj IQ, from the western cita limits to 1200 feet east of 131[xif%ii�-0, Drive; and, WHEREAS, Carver County will install parking restriction signage provided the City pass a No Parking resolution for this area.
