CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION DATE: April 5, 1976 RESOLUTION NUMBER: 76-30 MOTION BY COUNCILMAN Hobbs SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN Neveaux RESOLUTION APPROVING FEASIBILITY STUDY AND SETTING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED HURON AND IVY AVENUES AND WEST 69TH STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found and determined that Schoell and Madson, Inc., the consulting engineers for the city, have reported to this Council that a local improvement as hereinafter described is feasible and may best be made as proposed, and not in conjunction with any other improvement, and that the estimated cost of said improvement to the City is $4,730.00, however, if consolidated with Carver Beach Sewer and Water Project 75-2, the work is estimated to be a savings of $500.00. " 2. Said improvement consists of the following: a. The improvement of Huron Avenue with the Neighborhood of Carver Beach from West 66th Street to West 68th St. b. The improvement of Ivy Avenue between Nez Perce Avenue and Carver Beach Road. c. The improvement of West 69th Street from Iroquois Avenue to Carver Beach. Said proposed street improvements will consist of the construction and installation of 7 ton bituminous roadways with curb and gutters, in- cluding excavation, furnishing and installation of crushed rock and bituminous base and waring courses, lowering of existing street ele- vations as necessary, filling of ditches and installation and removal of culverts as necessary, sodding, seeding, restoration of existing driveways. This Council shall meet at the City Hall on the 19th day of April, 1976, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed construction of said improvement. II"" 4. The clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Carver County Herald, being the official news- paper of the City, the first of such publications to be not less than 10 days and the second not less than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting, and to be mailed to the owners of the property in the area proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to the date of said meeting.
