Amendment to Chapter 10, Division 3 of City Code Concerning
Attached please find a proposed amendment to city code that would change the
residency requirements for managers of liquor establishments. Currently, our
code requires that all liquor establishment managers live in the City of
Chanhassen. A survey of neighboring communities has found that no other city
has this requirement; however, some do require that the manager be a resident of
the state or within a 50 mile radius of the site.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of first reading of the attached city code amendment
that changes the residency requirements ofliquor managers from living in the City
of Chanhassen to living in the State of Minnesota.
.!
