The bid opening for the above-referenced project was held atlO:OO a.m. on May 8, 1998. The following three bids were received: Expert Asphalt at $121,314, Northwest Asphalt at $106,210, and Midwest Asphalt at $92,680. The engineer's estimate for the project was $107,000. It is recommended that the City Council award the Pleasant View Road Maintenance Overlay Project No. 98-5 to Midwest Asphalt for the low bid amount of $92,680.
