Concrete Border Work for Lake Susan Park Playground
Price quotes for concrete border work on the 2005 playground projects were
solicited from three cement contractors. Two quotes for the work were
received-one from Theis Construction and one from DayCo Concrete.
The following work was quoted:

(Large structure)

(Small structure)
Improvements at Lake Susan Park include 305 feet of surmountable curb
($5,124.00),4,689 square feet of flat work on the large structure ($14,067.00),
1,469.5 square feet of flat work on the small structure ($4,702.40), in addition to
171 feet of 4 foot sidewalk ($2,188.80), and 442 feet of curb thickening
($845.00).
The Lake Susan Park playground border is the last of the seven container
projects to be presented to the City Council. The other six were approved earlier
in the year.
RECOMMENDA TION
It is recommended that the Lake Susan Park concrete playground border work
be approved as quoted by Theis Construction in the amount of $26,927.20.
Approval of this item requires a simple majority vote of those city council
members present.
