97-17 CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA DATE: March 10~ 1997 RESOLUTION NO: 97-17 MOTION BY: Mason SECONDED BY: Senn A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN FOR LOT 1, BLOCK 4, HIGHLAND PARK FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO OFFICE WHEREAS, the City, in accordance with the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, adopted the Comprehensive Land Use Plan on January 28, 1991; and WHEREAS, the city received a petition from Joseph Scott to amend the Land Use Plan to designate Lot 1, Block 4, Highland Park from high density residential to office; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said petition on February 19, 1997 by the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission recommended approval conditioned upon approval by the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, the city, in accordance with the Metropolitan Land Planning Act and the Metropolitan Council Guidelines for reviewing local Comprehensive Plan Amendments, has determined that the amendment is consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Comprehensive Plan and its Land Use Element; and WHEREAS, the amendment has been determined by the Metropolitan Council to be in conformity with Metropolitan System Plans, the Metropolitan Development Guide, and appears to be compatible with the plans of adjacent communities; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved the amendment on April 14, 1997 (MC Referral File No. 16500-1). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Comprehensive Land Use Plan be hereby amended to change the MUSA Line designation as shown on Exhibit A.
