95-44 CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA DA TE: APril 10~ 1~ RESOLUTION NO: 95-44 MOTION BY: Dock~,ndorf SECONDED BY: Mason A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 4 WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Chanhassen (HRA) has determined to propose a new tax increment financing district (TIF District No. 4) within the downtown redevelopment project area; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, sections 469.174 through 469.179 (TIF Act) requires that the City Council of the City of Chanhassen (City) hold a public hearing on TIF District No. 4, following approval thereof by the HRA. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota as follows: The City Manager is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publication in the official newspaper setting a public hearing before the City Council to consider this matter on May 22, 1995, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The notice shall be published in the newspaper at least 10 but not more than 30 days prior to the public hearing. . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to notify Independent School District No. 112 and Carver County at least 30 days prior to the public hearing and to invite their comments thereon. . The City Manager is also authorized and directed to cause a notice regarding TIF District No. 4 and a summary thereof to be sent to the Carver County Commission in whose district the TIF District will be located at least 30 days prior to the public hearing. . The City staff and consultants are authorized and directed to take all other actions necessary to bring this matter before the City Council at the time of the public hearing.
