A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR
CHANHASSEN ESTATES STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT 93-10
WHEREAS, in early 1992, the City Council received a draft five-year capital
improvement program for street reconstruction which was developed from the City-wide
pavement management study conducted by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates (OSM); and
WHEREAS, the pavement management study identified the Chanhassen Estates
subdivisions as the highest priority area with street in need of reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, a survey was conducted of the residents in the Chanhassen Estates area to
acquire resident input as to whether they believe the City should proceed with the process to
conduct a formal street reconstruction project; and
WHEREAS, from the results of the survey, the majority of the resident responses favored
conducting a feasibility study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen authorizes preparation of a feasibility study for street reconstruction and drainage
improvements in Chanhassen Estates subdivisions, Project No. 93-10, and that OSM be
designated as the project consultant engineer.
Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 10th day of May, 1993.
