Carrillo This office has received a request for an on-sale beer and wine license from Las Tablitas, Inc. Mr. Alfonso Carrillo will be opening Las Tablitas Mexican Food restaurant at 7765 Center Boulevard. This space was formerly occupied by the Skyline Cafe. The restaurant will be approximately 2,100 sq. ft. and have a seating capacity of 54 people inside with room for another 12 on the patio. The hours of operation will be 7:00 a.m. unti19:00 p.m. Their food items will include burritos, quesadillas, tacos, pitas, salads, enchiladas, wraps, and soups. Law Enforcementis completing a background investigation on the owners/managers Alfonso V. Carrillo and Josefina Anaya including criminal history, driving records, and outstanding warrants. The report is not complete at this time and information will be forwarded as soon as it is available; hopefully before the public hearing. If not received before the meeting, staff recommends that the Council add this to the list of conditions of approval. A public hearing notice was published in the Chanhassen Villager and sent to all property owners within 500 feet of the site (see attached list). As of the date of this writing, staff has not received any comments from the public. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council approve the request for an on-sale beer and wine license for Las Tablitas Mexican Food contingent upon receipt of a favorable report from law enforcement, license fee, and the liquor liability Insurance.
