Acceptance of $1050 Donation from the KleinBank Chanhassen
The Chanhassen Senior Center will be offering a Lifelong Learning program in
2007. The focus of the program will be to provide a variety of classes and
learning opportunities to adults age 55 and older at the Senior Center. The Senior
Center will be utilizing classes offered through Augsburg College, "The College
of the Third Age." Augsburg College of the Third Age offers older adults the
opportunity to expand their minds, to express themselves in creative ways, to
develop new interests, to prepare for and experience retirement with anticipation
and joy, and to maintain good physical and mental health. The six class series will
be offered at the Chanhassen Senior Center.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the city council accept the $1,050 donation from the
KleinB'ank Chanhassen to assist with costs for the Lifelong Learning Class series.
Upon receiving approval from council, staff will send a letter thanking them and
present them with a Certificate of Appreciation for their contribution.
The City of Chanhassen . A growing community with clean lakes, quality schools, a charming downtown, thriving businesses, winding trails, and beautiful parks. A great place to live, work, and play.
