TH 101 (TH 5
to
Minnetonka)
Concerns with a large influx of perceived
volumes as well as speeds along this
portion of TH 101. There are a lot of
driveways and as a resident who has
access from TH 101 it feels very unsafe
with people either riding close to her
bumper or swerving illegal around to pass
when waiting to turn. Looking at other
sections of TH 101 the same characteristics
aren't found, and they have the same
speeds (or lower?).
Informed Diane Langenbach at MnDOT of concern as it is
under their jurisdiction. MnDOT classifies this portion of
TH 101 as an "A-Minor Expander" which characteristically
would fit the speed and volume of the highway.
No
232 11/1/22
Stone Creek
Drive
(North/South)
Stretch north of resident's house has no
houses and in this straight away observes
speeders "going well over 50 mph”.
Informed of the most recent study which
prompted the explanation of the location
where speeders are observed.
Additionally, the mailboxes across street
were taken out in a hit and run scenario
with speeding likely the issue. No speed
limit signs on this corridor. Request to
have a temporary speed radar put up to
remind drivers of speed.
While a speed study was conducted a few hundred feet
from the area of concern which concluded speeds were
within the acceptable range, the area will be added to
the "Speed Trailer Hotspot" list and be included in its
rotation.

Kerber Blvd &
Bighorn Dr
"Bighorn Drive widens at the intersection
with Kerber Blvd and effectively creates
room for a left and right turn lane onto
Kerber Blvd. However, there is no marking
for a turn lane or a center yellow line.
Would it be possible to have a yellow
center line and a white lane line added at
that intersection to mark the center of the
road as well as separate lanes for exiting
vehicles to turn left or right from Bighorn
onto Kerber?"
Based on geometry it would be consistent with city
practice to add striping and left turn lane, will be
completed in conjunction with 2023 Sealcoat project.
Communication will be conducted with abutting property
owners prior to placement.
