Red Cedar
Point
Neighborhood
Only one speed limit sign coming into the
entire neighborhood - which is covered by
vegetation - and there are a lot of streets.
With so much construction, more volume
of traffic which is going too fast. Request
for additional speed limit signage.
No additional signage is warranted at this time as this
would be consistent with monument speed limit signs at
the entry of neighborhoods. Even though Minnewashta
Parkway is also 30 MPH which by practice wouldn't
require the entry signage, as the neighborhood has had
consistent concerns with speeds the sign is warranted.
Recommendation is to have the vegetation of the
existing sign cleared so it is visible.

Mission Hills
Lane
"As 101 gets busier and 86th Street has
more buildings - the MASSIVE senior living
facility which is also a daycare is filling up,
turning left out of this neighborhood to go
south on 101 is more and more difficult. I
have waited over 5 minutes multiple
times as of late to make a safe turn. We
even now have a newly licensed driver,
and this left turn is truly anxiety inducing.
Requesting a light study and then
subsequent installation of traffic light at
this intersection. This neighborhood has
only ONE south exit to 101 as the
northern entrance is a right turn only
(berm in the middle of the road). Hoping
for proactive solutioning before there is a
catastrophic accident at this congested
intersection in the very near future."
With the corridor being under evaluation in the future
for potential improvements, and this being County
jurisdiction, this case will be forward to the Carver
County Public Works Department.
