Grandview Rd
I think concave mirrors facing the
driveway entrance to the Lakewinds/ bank
parking lot on the opposite side of the
road (dirt road/Great Plains intersection)
to get a view of traffic on both sides (2
mirrors) will be useful. This is a curved
road and often the traffic on Great Plains
is going way above speed limit making it
hard for people turning left or right from
lake windows parking lot. When there are
cars parked on the street next to Foss
(both sides), it makes it all the more
difficult to see traffic before you turn. I
hope the city will study this for future
investigation. Turning your heads both
ways multiple times to see cars before
making a turn does not always work
because of the curved road and seeing
cars on either side of Great Plains. Best to
study this when lots of cars parked next to
Foss and also when there is lots of traffic
in the Lakewinds parking lot
No crash history is associated with the location. On-
street parking requires at times to utilize DPS driver's
manual on multiple stops when pulling through an
intersection. Drivers have the connectivity within the
private development to utilize differing exits. Concave
"blind spot" mirrors are not an approved traffic devices
in the MNMUTCD and are not recommended. Staff is
assessing parking entitlements with the Villages on the
Pond development to assess if two stalls can be removed
to facilitate adequate sight lines.

Concerns of vehicles traveling over 40
MPH which creates noise pollution and
also makes existing Eagle Ridge Rd difficult
and dangerous (turning northbound).
This is a County highway and the city has no jurisdiction
over the setting of speed limits and/or the installation of
any other improvements. The Sheriff's department has
been notified and will continue their speed monitoring
along the corridor
