AGENDA
August 17, 2022 – 1:30 to 3:00 P.M.
CHANHASSEN CITY HALL, FOUNTAIN ROOM, 7700 MARKET BOULEVARD
PART I: 1:30 P.M. - CALL TO ORDER
Take attendance for the record and establishing a quorum (50% attendance of all
members).
PART II: 1:35 P.M. – REVIEW OF ACTION ITEMS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Review minutes and any items requiring follow-up from the previous regular meeting of
TSC.
1. Review the TSC website and evaluate possible improvements with
Communications Manager Arianna Lyskett, e.g. adding MnCMAT2 metrics; GIS
mapping of TSC cases (internal vs. external); additional resources and/or
standalone sub-sites similar to ‘Warning Signs’/’Stop Signs’/Etc.
2. Discuss any topics or recommendations that may be raised during the Council
work session on 8/8/2022.
PART III: 2:00 P.M. – BUSINESS & INFORMATION
1. Review of Cases: review cases and assess.
2. S.A.F.E. Crosswalk Policy: review the crosswalk policy’s draft flowchart for
finalization, this now includes a second chart for controlled legs of intersections.
Review and discuss narrative to the Crosswalk Policy. Discuss next steps for
recommending the S.A.F.E. Crosswalk Policy to City Council.
3. ‘No Parking’ signage review: review ‘No Parking’ signage assessment completed
by Engineering intern Michaela Tabor for signage around the city compared to
passed resolutions for said signage.
PART IV: 2:50 P.M. – MEMBER COMMENT
An opportunity for each member to discuss any topic within the scope of t he TSC that
was not on ‘Business & Information’.
PART V: 3:00 P.M. – ADJOURNMENT
Future Items: CTS Study #2020-13 (Pedestrian Activated Crossing Assessment); how/why/where of traffic sign
placement; “bump outs” and other traffic calming measures (“Safe Streets”); Safe Pedestrian Corridor analysis
(peer city comparison); evaluate one way on narrow streets…
