87-01 HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA DATE: January 15~ 1987 RESOLUTION NO: 87-01 MOTION BY: Whitehill SECONDED BY: Horn RESOLUTION SCHEDULING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SALE OF LAND (Chanhassen Mai1) WHEREAS, the Authority through its Executive Director has been negotiating an option agreement calling for the sale of cer- tain lands lying within and adjacent to Block 1, Chanhassen .Mall; and WHEREAS, a report has been made to the Authority outlining the status of such negotiations and describing the potential form of the option agreement; and WHEREAS, it has been represented to the Authority that the final form of the option agreement will be available to the Authority for review prior to its February meeting; and WHEREAS, if the proposed option agreement is submitted to the Authority with sufficient time for review prior to the February meeting, the Authority is willing to consider the proposed option at such meeting; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 462.525 requires that an agreement to sell land, such as by an option agreement, may only be entered into following a public hearing and published notice of such hearing. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Chanhassen as follows: 1. The Authority shall hold a public hearing at its meeting on February 19, 1987, to consider approval of an option agreement providing for the sale of land within and adja- cent to Block 1, Chanhassen Mall; and to authorize the sale of such land in accordance with and pursuant to such option agreement. · The Executive Director is authorized to conclude nego- tiations on the proposed option agreement and provide copies of such to the members of the Authority in advance of the public hearing. · The Executive Director is authorized and directed to publish notice of the public hearing in the manner required by law.
