Lake Lucy Rd
&
Highover Dr
The end of Highover Drive, just south of
where it intersects with Lake Lucy Rd, is
experiencing a high level of congestion due
to parents parking for children going to the
school (Minnetonka bus drop location).
Children in or crossing street, parents
standing outside vehicles, all add to the
obstruction. When large vehicles such as
garbage trucks/buses are in the area it
makes it worse, especially in winter
conditions. Also, there is a Minnetonka
bus drop at this intersection. Request no
parking on east side so people park one
side and near sidewalk.
Staff will be reaching out to gain more information from
school/busing department to get more information
regarding how long the stop has been in service, why this
particular location (e.g. why won't go down cul-de-sac),
etc. to help evaluate at the next meeting options that
address all stakeholders needs (parents, school,
residents, driver safety, etc.). TSC initial consideration is
towards possible warning signage (bus stop) and
educational campaign with HOA before a 'No Parking'
resolution. Evaluate during the April 2023 TSC meeting.
