Neighborhood Meeting invite0 hope house

Dear Hope House Neighbor,
We are excited to connect with you as a valued neighbor of Hope House, a youth shelter located
at 3010 W 78th St., Chanhassen. Since 2015, we've been privileged to serve teens in crisis from
our current location, providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth who need it most.
As a collaborative effort between Westwood Community Church, 180 Degrees, and Open Hands
Foundation, Hope House has become a vital resource for the community. To further enhance our
mission and meet the increasing demand, we have applied to the City of Chanhassen for a
Conditional Use Permit. If granted, this permit will allow us to expand our capacity by adding an
eight -bedroom addition to our current facility.
This expansion, at 5,300 square feet, will allow us to provide care for more teens and offer
improved programming designed to promote healing and growth. Presently, the six -bed shelter,
only accommodates about half of the requests we receive. This expansion will enable us to make
a greater impact on the lives of teens in our community who need help.
We believe in fostering strong relationships with our neighbors, and we are eager to share the
specifics of our expansion plan with you. We invite you to join us for an informational meeting
on Tuesday, September loth at 7:00 PM at Westwood Community Church. During this
meeting, we will provide further details about the project and answer any questions you may
have.
