Dear Mr. Provart, and Mr. Barnaby,
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 15.99, subd. 3(f)
the City of Chanhassen is extending the time period for review of your application for
conditional use permit and site plan approval for an expansion to an existing group home
to allow up to eight persons which was submitted by you to the City on August 7, 2024.
The reason for this extension is that the City Council meeting on September 23, 2024,
would not allow the necessary time for the City Council to review the proceedings of the
September 17, 2024, Planning Commission meeting and render a decision.
The anticipated length of this extension is an additional 60 days from the date of
expiration of the city’s initial 60 days for review provided under Minn. Stat. § 15.99,
which brings the review deadline to December 5, 2024, for the city to make a final
decision. The City Council has your CUP and Site Plan request scheduled for action on
October 14, 2024.
