Date:6/20/2024 The City of Chanhassen and Roers Companies are proposing to remove and replace approximately 1,469 LF of old deteriorating watermain and associated roadway along Market Blvd and 78th St. The total project area will disturb 0.68 acres of existing roadway and green space along Market Blvd and 78th St. In total 0.25 acres of pervious area and 0.40 acres of impervious area will be disturbed as part of this project. Currently, the area discharges at two points that end up within the same storm system on Market Blvd. The first discharge point is the catch basin located at the northwest corner of 78th St. The second discharge point is a catch basin located on Market Blvd. Both catch basins drain to the same storm sewer system on Market Blvd. As a result of this project there will be no newly created impervious or pervious surface. Per RPBCWD Rule 2.4 for linear projects, a permit is not required for a linear project if the project creates less than 10,000 square feet of new, and less than 25,000 square feet of fully reconstructed impervious surface. The proposed improvements would require approximately 18,701 square feet of reconstructed impervious areas, thus meeting the requirements for Rule 2.4. The proposed project does meet RPBCWD subsection 3.2. The SWPPP and Erosion Control Plansheets are included with this submittal.With no change in the impervious and pervious surface there will be no increase or decrease in runoff rate or volume from the project area.
