Capital JmprovementProgram (CIP) Work Session
Attached please find two spreadsheets detailing proposed future park and trail
improvements. At Tuesday evening's work session, the commission and staff
will be working on prioritizing these proposed projects and slotting them into a
lO-year CIP for years 2008 through 2017. Traditionally we have prepared a
5- Year CIP, but a 10- year document is required for this year's update of the
city's comprehensive plan. It is recommended that the lO-year plan average
$500,000 per year for a total of $5,000,000.
Please note the items in bold represent funds that have been committed through
a development agreement with a partnering entity. The items denoted by an
asterisk are projects recommended for inclusion in the proposed 2008 Park and
Trail Acquisition and Development CIP.
Please meet in the Fountain Conference Room at 6:00 p.m. on August 28th to
participate in the CIF work session. Supper will be provided and Chair Stolar
and I will be facilitating the process of prioritizing these projects into a proposed
10- year CIP document.
The City of Chanhassen . A growing community with clean lakes, quality schools, a charming downtown, thriving businesses, winding trails, and beautiful parks. A great place to live, work, and play.
