1984 05 07BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS MINUTES May 7, 1984 MEMBERS PRESENT: Willard Johnson, Carol Watson and Dale Geving No interested citizens were present. SIDEYARD SETBACK VARIANCE REQUEST, LOT 7, BLOCK 3, MINNEWASHTA MANOR, STEVEN ORTLIP, 2831 WASHTA BAY ROAD: Mr. Ortlip is requesting a 7 foot sideyard setback variance to construct a double garage on the east side of his property. Zoning Ordinance 47 requires a 10 foot side yard setback. The applicant intends to convert his existing garage into additional living space and build a new garage. The City Planner, Bob Waibel, felt that approval of this request would not be precedent setting as the proposal is utilizing the front yard area for the additional living space rather than the shoreland of Lake Minnewashta. A motion was made by Watson and seconded by Geving to approve the 7 foot sideyard variance request as submitted. Motion unani- mously approved.
