Gateway Place, Certificate of Completion
BACKGROUND
Through the use of funds from TIF #9, the City provided up to $300,000 in
assistance for the construction of Gateway Place. The apartment project provides
housing at below-market rental rates. The Contract for Private Redevelopment
included provisions for Minimum Improvements to the Property. The Contract
called for construction on the property to be completed by December 1, 2007.
According to the terms of the Contract, the construction of minimum
improvements shall be deemed complete upon issuance of a certificate of
occupancy. The certificate of occupancy was issued on August 23, 2007.
RECOMMENDA TION
Staff recommends that the Chanhassen EDA approve the attached "Certificate of
Completion" for Gateway Place. Approval of this item requires a majority vote of
the EDA.
