Kate / Bob,
It is with disappointment that I notify you of the termination of
’s option to purchase the property at Lyman and Highway 101 in Chanhassen. Our principal client informed us yesterday that the future growth of the area was insufficient to warrant
their investment in a new store. Thus, we hereby withdraw our Comprehensive Plan Amendment, PUD and rezone application which is scheduled for hearing before the Planning Commission
on March 4th.
Further, we request that the services of the City’s independent transportation consultant be terminated immediately, and that the non-expended portion of the $2,400 escrow fee be
refunded. Obviously, if there are any other refundable application fees, we would appreciate receiving them, as well.
Finally, I appreciate the assistance and guidance you provided to us as we worked through the process—and for the opportunity I had to visit your beautiful city.
