SENIOR COMMISSION MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
April 21, 2006
Chairman Robinson called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Curt Robinson, Marilyn Luthy, Mel Kurvers, Jean Mancini,
Barbara Nevin, Virginia Prior.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Pat McGough.
STAFF PRESENT: Sharmeen AI-Jaff.
VISITORS: None.
Approval of agenda: Commissioner Mancini moved, Commissioner Kurvers seconded
the motion to approve the agenda. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Approval of Minutes dated March 10,2006: Commissioner Mancini moved,
Commissioner Kurvers seconded the motion to approve the minutes with a change to the
meeting date from March 17, 2006 to March 10, 2006. All voted in favor and the motion
carried.
Goals and Objectives for 2006 and Joint Meeting with the City Council: Staff will
invite Maureen Melgaard-Schneider, Consultant with Carver County Health Partnership
Senior Commission to development a 2006 Work Plan.
Veteran's Memorial for Chanhassen: Consult the Legion on the Memorial Plans.
Senior Advisory Board: The Board had their elections. The continue with programming
for the Senior Center.
Senior Commission Update: The annual picnic will take place on June 1, 2006. It is
sponsored by the Lions Club. Commissioner Robertson chairs the picnic.
Adjournment: Commissioner Kurvers moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner
Nevin seconded the motion. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
