CHANHASSEN ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 9, 2008
Chairman Furlong called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Tom Furlong, Bryan Litsey, Vicki Ernst, Bethany Tjornhom, and
Jerry McDonald
STAFF PRESENT:
Todd Gerhardt, Laurie Hokkanen, Kate Aanenson, Paul Oehme, and Todd
Hoffman
APPROVAL OF RELEASE FROM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT, CHANHASSEN
LAKES BUSINESS PARK.
Hokkanen: The attorney for the Chanhassen Lakes Business Park has requested this as a part of
their refinancing. From the City’s perspective the TIF district was decertified in 2004 and the
th
original agreement stipulated that the assessment agreement would expire November 28 of
2007 so from our perspective this agreement has already been satisfied and expired. From the
bank’s perspective they’d like to have something passed by you that they could record and have
in their files.
Furlong: Okay, thank you. Any questions or thoughts? Comments? Seems fairly straight
forward. Is there a motion to approve the request?
Ernst: So moved.
Furlong: Thank you. Is there a second?
Litsey: Second.
Furlong: Made and seconded. Any discussion on the motion?
Ernst moved, Litsey seconded that the Chanhassen Economic Development Authority
authorizes the Satisfaction and Release of Land from the Assessment Agreement for
Chanhassen Lakes Business Park. All voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously
with a vote of 5 to 0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Ernst moved, Litsey seconded to approve the minutes of the
Economic Development Authority meeting dated March 10, 2008 as presented. All voted in
favor and the motion carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0.
Furlong: Anything else that we need to do this evening for the EDA?
Gerhardt: I wish I had EDA meetings this short.
Economic Development Authority - June 9, 2008
Litsey: They weren’t always like this?
Gerhardt: No.
Furlong: Is there, if there’s nothing else to come before the EDA this evening, is there a motion
to adjourn?
Tjornhom moved, Ernst seconded to adjourn the meeting. All voted in favor and the
motion carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0. The EDA meeting was adjourned at 7:42
p.m.
