Re: Interim Use Permit for Site Grading - Planning Case #07-16
Dear Mr. Klingelhutz and Mr. Wert:
The Interim Use Permit (IUP) approved for your property was to permit topsoil to
be stripped in order to bring in good fill. This topsoil was to be stockpiled on site
until a permanent off-site location was secured. At thattime you were to provide
the City with a haul route for the removal of the topsoiL If the destination site is a
location within the City of Chanhassen, that property would need a separate
grading permit.
However, through the use ofthesignage"ForSale, Nice Black Dirt, Call 612-
685- 5580", you are . creating a retail operation which is not permitted in the
district. This sign impliesthat~Iljndividpalcouldpurchaseapickup full of dirt.
Additionally, prior to its remoyal,e.aShloadofdirtthatisrell1oyydfromthe site
must be accompanied bya hauLrouteforCity reviewandappfoyal.
Please remove the sign by Octo?er26,2008, or youwillbeihvio1ation of City
