I, Karen J. Engelhardt, being first duly sworn, on oath deposes that she is and was on
October 14, 2008, the duly qualified and acting Deputy Clerk of the City of Chanhassen,
Minnesota; that on said date she caused to be mailed a copy of the attached notice of Public
Hearing POSTPONEMENT for Fairview Chanhassen Medical Center - Planning Case 08-
16 to the persons named on attached Exhibit "A", by enclosing a copy of said notice in an
envelope addressed to such owner, and depositing the envelopes addressed to all such owners in
the United States mail with postage fully prepaid thereon; that the names and addresses of such
owners were those appearing as such by the records of the County Treasurer, Carver County,
Minnesota, and by other appropriate records.

Dear Property Owner:
On Thursday, October 9, 2008, the City of Chanhassen mailed a public hearing notice to you
regarding the following proposal:
. Request for a Conditional Use Permit with Variances for development in the Bluff Creek Corridor;
Subdivision into one lot, outlots and dedication of public right-of-way; Rezoning from Agricultural
Estate (A2) to Office/Institutional (01), Site Plan Review with Variances for a two-phase, three-story,
160,000 square-foot medical center, up to a 731-stall, five-level parking ramp and signage; and a
Wetland Alteration Permit on property located on Outlot A, Butternut Ridge (southeast corner of
Powers Boulevard and new Highway 212) - FAIRVIEW CHANHASSEN MEDICAL CENTER.
The public hearing has been POSTPONED and WILL NOT be held at the October 21 , 2008 Planning
Commission meeting as originally scheduled. The item has not been rescheduled at this time;
however, new notices will be mailed to you when and if it is rescheduled.
