Acceptance of EDA Property (Lot 1, Block 2, Schneider Park) to
the City
As a part of the replatting process for the new library site, the EDA needs to
convey Lot 1, Block 2, Schneider Park to the City of Chanhassen. Under ctu~nt
building codes, a building cannot encroach on two parcels that are under different
ownerships. In this case, Lot 1, Block 2 is owned by the EDA and Lot 2, Block 2
is owned by the City.
Staff is recommending approval of the attached resolution accepting the
ownership of LOt 1, Block 2, Schneider Park from the EDA to the City.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSED CONVEYANCE
OF EDA PROPERTY TO Tm. CITY
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of platting SCHNEIDER PARK SECOND
ADDITION; and
WHEREAS, one parcel of land that will be part of this plat is legally described as Lot 1,
Block 2, SCHNEIDER PARK (the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is owned by the Economic Development Authority in
and for the City of Chanhassen ("EDA"); and
WHEREAS, to facilitate the platting process, the EDA proposes to convey the Subject
Property to the City;
NOW, BE IT RF_~OLVED that the City Council of the City of Chanhassen does hereby
accept the EDA's proposed conveyance of the Subject Property.
BE IT FURTmr~R RESOL~, that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 462.356,
subdivision 2, the City Council finds that the proposed acquisition of the Subject Property has no
relationship to the comprehensive municipal plan.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen,
