1983 02 01 e Minutes Park and Recreation Commission February 1, 1983 A regular meeting of the Chanhassen Park and Recreation Commission was called to order by Chairman Michael Lynch on February 1, 1983 at 7:40 p.m. The following members were present: Brian Foltz, Tom Schoenecker, Richie Hemping, Michael Lynch, and Joe Warneke. The following member was absent: Jack Mauritz. MINUTES: A motion was made by Brian Foltz and seconded by Joe Warneke to accept the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion unanimously approved. Michael Lynch reported to the Commission the findings of the Ecologists and the Core of Engineers regarding dredging the channel at Lotus Lake. Tom Schoenecker made a motion that we recommend that the City Council either hold or authorize the Park Commission to hold public hearings as soon as possible on the develop- ment of the boat launch on Lotus Lake Park. Motion was seconded by Michael Lynch. Motion unanimously approved. AMEND 1983 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET: A. Resurface tennis court at Lake Ann. Tom Schoenecker made a motion that we amend the 1983 Capital Improvement Budget to include resurfacing of the tennis court at Lake Ann in the 1983 budget instead of 1984. Motion was seconded by Brian Foltz. Motion unanimously approved. e CHANHASSEN LAKES BUSINESS PARK: Tom Schoenecker made a motion that we recommend the approval of the proposed Replat of Planning Case 83-1 Subdivision. Motion was seconded by Michael Lynch. Motion unanimously approved. CARVER BEACH: The Commission reviewed the suggestions they submitted to the City Council in October. As there is no grandfathering involved, they decided that any of the suggestions would be ok if they were applied uniformly. A motion was made by Joe Warneke and seconded by Brian Foltz that the meeting be adjourned. Motion unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sherma Coombs e
